I found mention of this on a (mostly) hockey-oriented board somewhere and some wag said this "sounded like a weird David Cronenberg movie." Yeah, it does... BTW -8 degrees C. is about 17.6 degrees F. It gets worse: The crash apparently happened after police said the suspects kidnapped three people — a man, a woman and an infant — from a home and forced them into the car. I was guessing a prostitution ring servicing the workers in a remote location. That may still be a good guess but it doesn't account for a kidnapping.
