Fox News's Tucker Carlson, White Man, Says He Gets Racism, Oppression Because He's American "Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who is white, told a black guest on his television show Wednesday night that he truly understands racism and oppression for African-Americans. How? Because he's an American, Carlson claimed." Poor Carlson.
Conversation about race = Shut the fuck up, quick thinking what you're thinking and think what I tell you to think. The only way to win is to not play.
Race baiting headline, but at least the article was fair, giving appropriate context to the conversation. Tucker wasn't saying that he is the victim of racism, only that he understands the history and contemporary context of racism in this country. Now, just why did Newsweek decide to publish a story about it? :dunno:
If white people can't understand racism, why should they pay any attention to or even care about racism? I personally think that a lot of anti-racist activism these days is little more than thinly-disguised anti-white racism. So I think that white people are on the receiving end of racism every day. It's just a fact that there are elements of every racial/ethnic group that don't like other racial/ethnic groups. That's as true for blacks and Hispanics as for white Anglos. Thankfully, that doesn't seem to be true of the majority of any group. Unfortunately, the growing fascination for political organizing based on racial/ethnic identity politics is changing that.
I've always been fascinated by the concept that so many people think the way to redress past instances of racism is through more racism, just directed at a different target. My ancestors came here from Scotland in the 1920's with a few suitcases of belongings, and whatever savings they had. They never owned slaves, and even if they wanted to be racist, they never had the social or economic standing to do so; one grandfather was a shipfitter, and the other a tool & die maker. Forget that punishing someone for the actions of their ancestors is sheer lunacy, my ancestors never even did anything worthy of punishing on their own.
That is true. Reverse-racism is flourishing. A Honduran-American said, "I hate Mexicans because they are dishonest." Prejudice comes in all flavors.
Reverse racism That's the strategic script of the alt.left media i.e. throwing gas on racism, especially reverse-racism (as if it's justified). All racism is wrong, to include reverse-racism.
