I am very, very sad to report that one of our long time participants, Shawn Ambrose, passed away suddenly yesterday. His son Jon posted this to social media: Shawn took a chance on me, hiring me for my first instructor gig, at LCO Ojibwe Community College, must be ten years ago now. Later he was kind enough to be one of my references when I applied for doctoral study. He was a friend, and I'll miss him.
My goodness, that is SO sad. I always enjoyed reading Shawn's contributions to the forum, he will be missed. RIP, Shawn.
I'm very sorry to hear of Shawn's passing. I did not know him personally but he was consistently helpful and positive. I'm sure he will be missed by many.
My condolences. Very sad news. He was always a classy guy on DI. I read everyone of his post as far back as I can remembered. He will surely be missed.
Geez! So it looks like he was only in his fifties? I wonder if he had a weight problem or something. That's why it's good to get yearly physicals.
