I have several Asian tats across my body. I have a very special one placed upon the lower left leg region. It is a large crucifix with the inscription "INRI". I was once once pronounced dead! After that, I had my tattoo placed on me just i case in should die during my sleep, or before a priest could get to me. Why did you get a a tattoo, and what does it mean to you? I see too many people getting silly low quality tats, with no meaning behind them. I have a friend who is a well paid professional, and she is getting tats all over the place! I mean silly ones. So in summation, what does your tat mean to you and why did you get it?
You don't put bumper stickers on a Porsche. I don't have tats. All my scars and stories are on the inside. You have a cool sounding tat with interesting meaning. You are .01% of the people I see with tats.
I know that you of all people wouldn't end up in this situation, but just because it's funny, I can't help but think of this:
I have the unit insignia of the Army's 1st Infantry Division on my right shoulder, which is where you wear the insignia of the unit with which you served in combat. Very meaningful to me, and invisible unless you see me at the beach. I have zero regrets about getting it, and I wouldn't rule out ever getting something else, but I haven't thought of anything worthwhile yet. Oh, and I was 100% sober when I got it!!
Mine are religious in nature. I have 2 of the 8 auspicious symbols of Buddhism. Others may be added if I feel that I ever come to substantially understand their full meaning.
