de-barking

    I generally don't like that surgery, but then again, I don't have to live next to dogs that bark incessantly.

    One of the reasons I chose an English Mastiff is because the breed is not known to be "barkers". If my big guy barks, there's a reason for it; either someone has knocked on the door/rang the doorbell, or he sees someone on my property.

    If I hear his chest-rattling WOOF, I pay attention.
