If you lived on a farm it would make perfect sense. If firefighters put out a fire in your apartment and saved a suitcase of money you would expect to be criticized for later spending the money. Now, on the other hand, something that doesn't seem right to me is putting fruit on meat. Pineapple on ham? No way. Oranges of duck? Not for me. It's just wrong.

If you don't make this your catchphrase, I might have to take it from you :D

    Yes way.

    Yes for me.

    Nothing could be righter.

I really don't like duck anyway. Too greasy for me. I've heard goose is the same, maybe more so. I've never tried pheasant.

Back some years, when I ate pork (no religious reasons involved in quitting) apples or applesauce were my go-to things to accompany it. As well, I used to make something interesting with chicken, blackberries and brandy - but I ran out of brandy about 13 years ago and decided not to buy any more booze.

I had to ditch the chicken recipe - along with my snail sauce: butter garlic, brandy and parsley. I miss the sauce, but not the snails. Now, fruit with beef has always seemed a definite no-no. Maybe that's just because I don't know any recipes. But other meats - pile it on, I say.
