Can you shoot hollow point bullets at a shooting range?

I have some that my late uncle left, and I am just wondering. I am curious to see what happens. :)

Yes, a lot of ranges actually prefer them. The hollow point bullets will expand and flatten upon hitting the backstop, draining most of their energy, and making ricochets very unlikely.
