Hello all. I am interested in information from anyone that has obtained a certificate of eligibility in the state of NJ for teaching. Now that my husband Bob has completed everything the state can take up to six months to process his paperwork. Any ideas? This means he maintains his substitute status until then. Wow! Long time! Six months seems quite excessive. VT Dept of Ed. says in May you might expect a couple month wait due to the Spring graduation volume. When I got my initial teachers license it only took about 3 weeks. I have added endorsements 3 times. Each time took under a month. All the best!
