Like a few of their songs. Apparently Jim's WWII pilot, Korean War Vet, Vietnam war starting Admiral Dad was a real prick to him when he was younger. Which is why he made up crap about being adopted or orphaned. Also Jim's Mom was in the audience when Jim apparently said "Mother, I want to Fuck You!" and was later arrested dropping his pants at that famous show. Dad didn't like the long hair. Jim didn't like his parents. Talk about issues, but heh, those issues plus drugs can make some pretty decent music.
Jim Morrison indeed made excellent music. But musicians make music, drugs don't. Too often, drugs make DEAD musicians. Then we can't hear them any more, even if they're playing their hearts out in the next world. Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix ... Mike Bloomfield, Charlie Parker... J.
