How about the craposphere? Or, to fancy it up with a bit of Greek, the coprogenic layer? (The first part of that word refers to sh*!)

Perhaps a heck of a lot of it could be recycled into building materials. As for a recurrent cycle, perhaps when the new buildings made from the craposphere are reduced to nuclear rubble -- back to the layer and it starts all over again.

Our block in downtown Berkeley had seven peacocks that wandered about, occasionally pecking at people, and making an astonishingly loud noise before dawn every morning. Became a major civic issue, with town meetings. After a chick was hit by a car, the city finally acted, and captured the patriarch, locally called Jacques Peacock. The rest tagged along, and they were deported to a ranch across the bridge in Marin County.

San Francisco's garbage used to be taken by train to a huge dump a couple of hundred miles away. They had a contest to name the train, and the winner, delightfully, was "El Crapitan."

The Washington Post had a contest to name the giant hole in the ground that was left after funding was cut for the Superconducting Supercollider, and the winner, delightfully, was "The Martha Washington Monument."

So it's a well-established fact that I probably watch too much TV (mostly when I should be sleeping) . I could come up with some reasons like "it's a reflection of American culture" and stuff like that but the fact is, I just enjoy it. One of the shows I watch sometimes is called "Ridiculousness." It's really quite stupid but it makes me laugh. Chanel West Coast has an infectious laugh and Steelo Brim is probably smarter than people might guess. Anyway, here's my ridiculous contribution to DI - a man punching a bear trap
