When I went to Australia in 1992, I was surprised to learn not only that kangaroos are insidious pests, but that they can be downright nasty animals. They're sort of like squirrels are around here, but they do a lot more damage to your car if you hit them, so many Aussies who live outside the big cities mount "roo bars" on their vehicles, to absorb the impact if they happen to cream one. I was also surprised to learn of the many sizes and variations; the ones we always think of are the common gray kangaroo, but the giant red kangaroos can be almost 8 feet tall.

That's cool. I will to go to Australia one of these days. Damn, 8 feet tall! Anyway, yeah, from the videos I have seen, Kangaroos are pretty vicious. That guy took a mighty huge risk facing off with a roo. He is lucky the roo didn't fight back. I would have gutted him like a fish.
