Jones International to enter Arab market

    • Jones International University is poised to enter the Arab e-learning market using Lebanon as a base. The move will help Arabs, Cypriots, and Turks get American degrees online. Jones will provide its Arab services through the Middle East Center for Studies and Public Relations. Lebanon was chosen for its low restrictions, location, Internet penetration, and English language ability, according to Center CEO Hisham Jaber. Jones International will be competing with 40 other universities in Lebanon, and at relatively high prices--about $13,000 for a two-year Master's in Business Administration, for example.
