It's stupid because it's a scam where they increase ad revenue by stretching the thing out to as many pages as they possibly can and having ads on each page. Still, I took it. (Spoilers below) 1) I couldn't remember which love interest's name belonged to which Shakespearean tragedy. I also am not much of a fan of his plays. 2) The word "native" really thew me off on the question about the most widely spoken language. I was pretty sure that a high percentage of Chinese people natively spoke a local dialect but either didn't speak Mandarin or only spoke it when required to for education, politics and business. Maybe I was just thinking too hard about this one. 3) On the organism Mendel studied I guessed fruit flies because I know that they have been hugely important in DNA researched. WRONG! 4) The Soviet Union had more military deaths than Germany in WWII. How was I supposed to know that?! 5) Romeo says he was in love with Rosaline. I barely remember Rosaline, but I thought I remembered that that he was courting her but didn't actually love her. WRONG! 6) Never heard of Rhodesia. 7) I don't hang out in deserts, so I don't blame myself for not knowing where the Khalahari is. 8) Uhhh... there was a Spanish war? 9) A Passage to India by E.M. Forster is better known as A Book I've Never Read by An Author I've Never Heard Of 10) Meant to click BEFORE and not AFTER the Civil War as the meaning for Antebellum. No, really, I knew this one! (it helps that the spanish word for "before" is "antes" which would help me to remember this if I ever forgot, but I DIDN'T forget it! I misclicked! I swear!!!) For a few of the questions, I had to make a number of educated guesses based on previous knowledge and some deduction, but it was an absolutely pure dumb luck guess that got me the question about Cubism correct.
What a COLOSSAL, MORONIC waste of time. Ted was lucky it didn't work for him. Whoopee! It says I have a Doctorate too - yeah, yeah, from Axact, maybe. Got 4 out of 70 wrong - can't recall there being one question I didn't know / not know by the time I finished high school 56 years ago. This is NOT college-level stuff. Not going to bore you with the 4 I got wrong or why. Not good form. J. over and out.
