Well I sort of understand all the Lopezes and Washingtons, but who are all these Hansens and Jensens in the west.

In a similar vein, here are the ten most popular surnames in the world as of 2015:
Li, Zhang, Wang, Nguyen, Garcia, Gonzalez, Hernandez, Smith, Smirnov and Muller. Great name for a law firm.

There's probably a reason there isn't a superfluity of Heikses, Ted. According to a learned authority, the name was changed a bit, as often happened at immigration, in the old days:

" Heiks is the accidentally pluralized (at immigration) form of Heik, Heikke, or Heich, which are the accidentally singularized forms of Heikken, which is derived from van Huygen, which, I believe, means from the Hague."

Perhaps you recognize the knowledgeable, distinguished author. You should.

Better to chug a Heineken and not worry about it.
