BOO to both of you for going the clickbait angle :p

That stupid webpage takes way longer to load than it should and regularly lags and freezeson my PC, not matter which browser I use. Still, I got through it.

My favs from the list: Jeopardy, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Ren & Stimpy, The Wonder Years, The Bob Newhart Show, Mary Tyler Moore, I Love Lucy, Sesame Street, Law & Order, The X-Files, Cheers, The Daily Show, The Simpsons, Twilight Zone, Seinfeld.

I'm really surprised at the lack of any mention of either The Practice or The Cosby Show. The Practice is the only TV show I ever couldn't let myself miss an episode. Bill Cosby is now known as the devil incarnate, but his show was easily better than several on the list.

This probably wasn't something even remotely on their minds, but I also would have added WWE Raw. It's presentation completely reshaped not just how wrestling is booked and displayed all around the world, but has had a very strong influence on sports broadcasts in general. Don't believe me? Check out Mariano Rivera's final All-Star game entrance. Tell me that it isn't just a few lighting effects away from being a wrestling entrance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENCVFVkzRVw

I quit watching TV regularly about 10 years ago. I did enjoy Stranger Things on Netflix with my family this past summer.

I didn't/don't watch Breaking Bad, Son's of Anarchy (tried to), GoT, or the Walking Dead. Most of all I don't watch the NFL. They don't make TV (or movies) for me anymore, and I'm OK with that.

No Cosby Show? No A Different World? No Sanford & Son? No Jeffersons? No Family Matters? No Martin? No New York Undercover? No Roc? No Frasier? No Star Trek The Next Generation? No Fresh Prince of Bel-Air? No Saved By The Bell? No Married With Children? No 60 Minutes? No Law and Order? No Parenthood?

Bleh @ Rolling Stone. Some of the newer shows added aren't things I would pick over any of the above, but these lists are subjective of course.

    Anyway, for me it's:

    1. Breaking Bad
    2. Seinfeld

And let me tell you, beating Seinfeld for me seemed impossible. I never watched Seinfeld when it was new and only became a fan by accident when it went into syndication years later as Martin and New York Undercover covered the timeslots Seinfeld would be in. But Breaking Bad was just absolute insanity. Like Seinfeld, I feel like Breaking Bad was a moment in television history that will never be duplicated. And like Seinfeld, it was an idea that had no business at all working as well as it did; the result was classic.

My list of "best" TV shows ever would skew heavily towards geeky shows. Babylon 5, Fringe, Lost (yes, including the ending), the reimagined Battlestar Galactica (yes, despite the ending), and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (unarguably the best series to bear the name).

Other than those, Breaking Bad wasn't for everyone, but it was truly amazing. And in the "brilliant but cancelled" category, yes, Firefly, but also Profit.

I was disappointed when Firefly ended.

Good choices; I'm a bit overloaded on Frasier because it's on around here from 01:00-04:00, and one of the only good shows on when I get home. I'm currently on hiatus with it, but I always go back.

Jeffersons was #82. Law and Order was #36.

But no Desperate Housewives - now that's a problem!

Understood. It loaded here, only because (I'm sure) the place where I am has an enormous Internet pipeline. Even so, it took a while. I still say Desperate Housewives should be on there!
