I'm confused by your question. I have linkedin - the basic free account, and when you log in, under your photo will say "publish a post" you just click it.
Apparently you connect with a person and do a bunch of other stuff. Maybe I will find someone on the site to help me.

If you are that unfamiliar with LinkedIn perhaps you should google around for tips and get a feel for the site and then, after some time, publish an article about how to use the service. If you're publishing articles about how to use LinkedIn and you don't know, you know, how to use LinkedIn it may not have a particularly desirable outcome.
