For some silly reason, I'm reminded of the first time I ever heard of jasmine - night blooming jasmine, to be specific. It was in 1940s England and I was no more than 4 or 5, when my parents took me to the show with them (pre-TV days for many Brits - including us). We saw the movie "Dead Reckoning" (1947).
