I know that we are spread out all over the country, all over the world, and that it's at least a little bit different where you are but right here,
right now, in my neighborhood, it's wicked hot.

Same here- heatwave. It's been in the mid-high 90's for WEEKS. It rained today. It was 95 while it rained. It's still 95 after it rained, and it's 10pm lol.

On the first floor of my house, I have a 12,000 BTU air conditioner, a 7,500 BTU, and a 5,000 BTU. You could hang meat in my family room when they're all running full blast.

It was 134 degrees the day I left the Persian Gulf, and I swore that I'd never be hot again unless I absolutely had to be.

95 would be nice. Central Texas has been in the upper 90s and low 100s for a few weeks. I just looked at our forecast, and we're expected to hit 102 by the end of next week.

110-115 days are pretty normal this time of year out here in Vegas.

That's pretty hot. With the humidity, the heat index in Texas can be 105-110 during the summer. It actually started off relatively cool in Central Texas all the way through the end of spring due to the heavy rains. Now, we've had little rain in recent weeks, but we still have the humidity to go with the high temps.

I wish Shen could help me out with the lawn! He he he! My gardener is back from vacation tomorrow, so the lawn will look good again!

Summer is the hot, dry season here in Dominica, and highs have been in the low 90's all this week. If that doesn't sound too bad, then remember that most people don't have air conditioning here. Essentially, cold drinks are a must!

Today the temp dropped a bit but the humidity went up a bunch. At this point the sun is starting to drop toward the treeline and so relief is at hand.

Been really cool with some rain thrown in here, a bit unusual for us. Great bike riding weather. The kids who live at the pools are none to happy, we're about 10 degree cooler than average. But that also means that our fire danger is lower, we're at Moderate. Last year about 3 weeks of August were ruined from smoke from numerous forest fires. Hopefully our cool damp trend continues. It's still nice out just not so oppressively hot. Been a great year here for weather. Got a lot of early season snow to seed the local ski areas. Then the snow was melted down in town my mid January (I was riding my bike-carefully-about the 1st of Feb) and the snowpack stayed strong through the rest of the season.

    I'll take it.

The moisture in the ground ( thanks to May rains)..but as time wears on..the moisture is evaporating. If these High Pressure Ridges keep sticking around, the temperatures will get hotter. Heat begats Heat. Also, the winds coming in from the Gulf do not help.

You have me thinking about going back to cutting my own lawn again. What kind of edger, mower and blower do you have?
