that'll teach 'em Vladimir Putin sacks EVERY commander in his Baltic fleet in Stalin-style purge | Daily Mail Online
That's probably what would happen if Trump became President and ordered the military to do perform his proposed enhanced torture techniques. They would refuse, the he would say "Your'e fired!!!!!!!!!!" just like on that apprentice show of his.
I recently learned about this little sliver of Russia that exists in between Lithuania and Poland called Kaliningrad. Apparently there is a big military buildup going on there. From Prussian to Russian fortress. Kaliningrad - Russia's military zone in the West
Don't we already have enhanced torture? I mean GITMO is still open. IIRC Trump was against the Iraq invasion while Hillary voted for it, that hardly sounds like your typical invade the world/invite the world political hack we're surrounded by. But I don't listen to his speeches or read his positions so I'm going off memory. Trump-Trump-Trumpity-Trump.
Trump has talked about techniques that go WAY beyond what is available at the moment. At this point, the guy says so much, I honestly can't keep track of it all. Of course, it is hard not to hear about what he says since he gets so much free media coverage.
Interesting side note - if anything, El Trompeta has lost his shock value. He talked about something for an hour or so recently, and apparently Manafort gave him a piece of paper so he could kind of follow a script. Well, that didn't work out to well, then he tossed the piece of paper to the side, and began ranting about I don't know what. Poor Manafort, nobody can control the Donald and his trumpery.
I think people are growing tired of him (normal people like me and the other 25% of Americans who are not rabid party followers). It's hard to keep track of anything the candidates say but he talks so much and gets so much attention for every.thing.he.says. that's we're all a little Trumped out.
The Soviet Union almost lost WWII, turning back the Germans at Stalingrad. Stalin got very lucky. He thought he'd bought some time with the non-aggression pact and didn't expect Hitler to invade for a couple of more years. Worse, he's purged so many of his top generals that the ones left were both inexperienced and scared. If it wasn't for Marshall Zhukov, who knows? It's why I've always felt Zhukov was right up there with Lenin, Stalin, and Gorbachev. Not a political leader, but he saved the USSR. Putin should take a lesson.
