    Interesting:

"It is more dangerous to be black on America. It's both more dangerous because of the crime, which is the Chicago story," Gingrich said Friday in a Facebook Live event with CNN analyst Van Jones. "But it is more dangerous in that [you are] substantially more likely to be in a situation where police don't respect you and where you could easily get killed. And I think sometimes, for whites, it's difficult to appreciate how real that is. It's an everyday danger."

" If you are a normal white American, the truth is you don’t understand being black in America, and you instinctively under-estimate the level of discrimination and the level of additional risk.”

Brother Gingrich sees the truth now. He is exactly right. I often hear some whites speak of discrimination, and how they think it no longer exists. My question? How would they know? They have never known discrimination, or what it is like. If you don't know something, how can you say it no longer exists?

I am a black person who has had the cops called on me for no reason. I was delivering newspapers over 10 years ago. One day, the police showed up to my apartment questioning me because a couple walking in the early morning hours reported that it looked like I was staking out a house. They told the police that I was sitting in front of someone's house for around 10 minutes. This was a complete and utter lie. The longest I parked in front of someone's house was about a minute to double check any new addresses on my route. Any idiot could see that I was tossing out newspapers. I've also been followed around in stores as if I'm going to steal something.

When I worked for my first law enforcement agency, my trainer, who was not black, told me that people sometimes call the police on someone just because the person is black or Hispanic. She once got a call where a man reported a suspicious person in his neighborhood. He said it was a black, teenage boy wearing a backpack. She asked what was he doing that was suspicious. He said that he's suspicious because he's black, and there are no black people in his city (it is a small suburb of San Antonio). I also received suspicious person calls where the caller couldn't explain why the person was suspicious. I had someone call the police on two black men for having the audacity to stand outside in their neighborhood and have a conversation.

Yeah, people are still ass backwards! When ever I see a black person in my neighborhood (not that often), I always give them this sort of slight nod, the kind of nod that one minority gives to another. That is my way of making them feel welcome.

Amazingly, white people do that too.

That is how that boy got shoot by that Zimmerman guy. He did the world a great justice by killing a boy over some fucking Skittles! Of course, that weirdo has been in all kinds of trouble with the law since then. I sure hope he sleeps well at night.
