    Geez!

    https://www.yahoo.com/gma/san-francisco-resident-fights-sudden-rent-hike-more-213634312--abc-news-house-and-home.html

"Earlier this year a 99-year-old woman faced eviction from an apartment in the Lower Haight neighborhood where she had lived for more than 60 years."

Now, I understand, the landlord needs to make some duckets, she has expenses after all. My dad used to own rentals. But 400% Of course, you have guys raising life saving drugs by 500%, so what do we expect? Holy shit. Grotesque greed. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.

Very sad for these tenants. San Fran and San Diego are very expensive places to live.

Who is the landlord? That seems like a key ingredient to a story like this. Why is the rent increasing so much? Have property taxes increased their by a significant portion? What is the city/county involvement in this?

Ahh...you never get the full story anymore.

Number one the person who is facing the 400% increase is not the 99 year old in your quote. You really need to write better posts to go with your news stories, or just not bother any more.

The guy (looks like early forties?) keeps saying, "I don't know what I'm going to do?"

I do, he's going to move.

I'll keep posting, thanks for the suggestion though. How is your LGBT son doing BTW?
