Turned on the wrong street - ended up at Mission San Antonio De Pala

We ended up taking a detour. Drove by this place, and decided to park and go in. $2.00 for the entire museum/mission tour. I found a link so i could make a longer story in to a shorter story.

Very beautiful place. I bought an all black rosary for $1.00! $1.00! When I was walking around, I noticed a little room behind the church (I don't remember some of the religious name anymore), These rooms contain certain things that priests and altar boys have to prepare before a mass. This made me think back to the time when me and my red haired cousin Fito were altar boys. I really enjoyed those times.

Anyway, a nice place to visit. There is also a little place across the street called The Pala Store Deli. You can get good eats there, and it is cool because there is a little post office in there as well!

I believe you are referring to the sacristy.

Oh, thanks! "sacristy", I will store that away for later. They also had these robes that priests wear, some were for sale. Some were strictly for museum display only. My favorite museum robe had skulls embroidered by hand, beautiful indeed.

I will have to go back and reread about some of this stuff one day. I do remember the general concept though.
