This guys just saying what a lot them are thinking but are too afraid to say: Five Questions About Donald Trump's Racist Butler - The Atlantic Geez!
I only have one question: Is he Donald Trump? No? Then this is a non-story, such that I wonder whether The Atlantic is falling on hard times for publishing it.
Perhaps because guilt-by-association was a big--and unsuccessful--practice against President Obama during his run in 2008. Just like when Trump promised to release his income taxes if Obama released his long-form birth certificate. Then Obama did. Then Trump didn't. It would appear Trump has a friendship with this person going back decades (and possibly continuing to the present). If who you hang out with matters--as some insisted in 2008--then this is worth looking at. Further, the things the guy says fits well with the narratives offered by Trump, which was NOT the case for Obama in 2008.
I have a bigger issue with how Trump responded. He said he disavowed the comments, but followed up with "people are angry" as if that's an excuse for calling for the death of the president and being racist. He's done this a few other times. He says that he doesn't condone something that was done or said, but he practically defends the person (s) by trying to explain away their actions.
