How can anyone in an open forum think they are sacrosanct. Guess, what, some of us do have brains and like to question how you came up with your opinion.

p.s. The solution is to enlighten, not ridicule or ignore.

Are you suggesting that I'm not sacrosanct? Why, if I had a horse, I'd horsewhip you! ;)

    I'm warning you, I work near a stable! ;)

I don't know, Stalin seemed to do okay -- from his perspective, anyway -- with just plain old, unjustified, large scale executions.

    Cordially,
    Richard Kanarek:) ;)

Wasn't Stalin an advocate of distance learning? IIRC, he opened a few institutions in Siberia where one could earn life experience credit.

    Yes, but they weren't transferable.

Which one, the credits or the people who earned them?

    :)

Yeah, um............sorry, I had a bad day yesterday, if you couldn't tell. The humor in the replies to my shoot-from-the-hip post was enlightening and probably a little too easy on me.

No problem. Life can be tough. If playing Burns for a bunch of Allens helps you get through the day, feel free! <g> I will! <g>

BTW, if it makes you feel any better, I bet I hope to have average days as good as your bad days.

For future reference, when someone/something is horsewhipped you do not actually whip them with a horse. The mechanics of whipping someone with a horse tend to be beyond the physical capabilities of most people.

No really, I was being serious.
As far as the comparison of how hard/easy our respective days are, your's may indeed be more challenging, but "I" will never believe that ;) .
    Also, I like Gracie better......oh, I see. :D

Are you sure Dennis? I haven't seen any research on that issue. If you could please back up your opinion with some facts that would help all of us here. Also I question your use of "most" people. What percentage do you consider equivalent to "most". Thanks in advance.

    Tony

P.S. One thing I have learned, it is never good to read a post you do not remember writing. At least I spelled all the words right (I think :) ). Later.

    HORSEWHIPPING

My research on horsewhipping is purely anecdotal. I grant that there are some very large people and some very small horses so I guess it may be possible to whip someone with a horse.

In my haste, I assumed that horsewhipping was whipping someone/something with the intensity that one would use while whipping a horse.

Incidentally, whipping a horse seems to re-inforce whatever negative quality one is trying to prevent, or so I am told, never having whipped one myself.

That may be true for horses, but I hope it isn't true for us.

    what is intelligence?

Is one person's intelligent response, another person's trash?
Some of the people who post believe they think better with a few drinks. In fact the early effects of alcohol is to reduce higher order perception.
One person's fact, another person's myth.
    All the best!

Yes irat, I would also add one person's parody is another person's reality.

    Horsewhipping

I have some friends who are whipped, but I think that might be a bit different.
