A great talent, what a shame. Lost in the showmanship, theatrics, and over-the-top production was the fact that Prince was a VERY talented guitar player, but he routinely refused interviews with guitar magazines, that's how private he was.
Amazing how public and private he was simultaneously. Reportedly, he had a huge catalog of songs not recorded. As I'm sure you know, he was covered quite heavily and wrote a number of hit songs for others.
