There are predators everywhere. Often times they are disguised as nice people.

I think he's definitely a murderer. But I also don't find his crime any more heinous than the orthodontist who ran over her cheating husband while their daughter was in the car.

She got 20 years and he got life. Now the prosecutor is saying that had he known about the likely psychological issues which made him kill the woman in a fit of rage he likely would have pursued a lesser sentence rather than a life sentence.

It wouldn't still be going on except that the family of the victim has tried numerous times to inject itself into the case. It's a matter between Tiede and the state. And the state needs to get out of the revenge (read: "providing closure for the family") business. This guy soent a decade and a half in prison. If we have reason to believe he won't reoffend then let him work a job and pay taxes subject to reasonable restrictions like not talking to the press and making any money off of his crimes. Life sentences are pretty useless unless the person remains a danger to society.

What bothers me is that there seems to be so many negative cases involving funeral homes lately. It is so disrespectful to the families.
