A gripping movie. A Sicario (A hitman often hired by Latin American mafias to kill someone -In this case the US government) employs tactics such as the drug cartels often use, the killing of your enemies family. In this scene, the Sicario says "every night you have families killed, and yet here you dine". The cartel leader responds by saying "who do you think we learned it from?".

Once you engage in these types of things, there is no turning back. Tough talk rhetoric advocating techniques like enhanced water boarding, or the killing of your enemies (terrorists) families can be very dangerous.

    A cautionary tale.

Great movie, very enjoyable some great scenes and Benicio Del Toro hits it out of the park!

Sort of like how the "savages" of Congo learned all about amputations from the Belgians.

A Sicario - Agents sent by the devil

In Mexico, it said Sicarios are agents sent by Satan. As such, they believe Sicarios possess super natural abilities, such as the ability to disappear, and vanquish their enemies. Once a Sicario comes after you, there is no where to hide, and nowhere to run. They will find you and even if you go to the ends of earth. Even God won't be able to save you or protect you.

Sounds a bit like a newer, possibly Los Zetas influenced version of the late Carlos Castaneda's Don Juan / Yaqui stories. Back in the early 70s a lot of people around here read his books while they smoked pot. Maybe these Sicario stories are best told in the form of narcocorridos. Yes, I think drugs may very well have been involved in their creation. I'll reserve judgment.

Maybe "El Chapo" Guzman could pass the time by writing some Sicario stories from his jail cell. Nah -- "Shorty's" probably too busy, working on another tunnel.

I read his books, too -- but I never inhaled!

Finally figured it out! Mexican Ninjas! Who'd have thought such an intercultural transfer possible?
