Well, it took awhile, but I got banned at DL "Truth." The site has almost no activity, and zero related to distance learning. But I started the occasional thread and sought to cover every single post by the nut(s) there with one of my own. I was determined to troll them as long as I could. Nothing violating their TOS or anyone's sensibilities, of course, but I didn't let anyone's snide remarks--their stock in trade--stand unanswered. So the operator banned me from posting.

Where up is down, in is out, and DL Truth is just a pack of lies. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Um, congratulations? You appear to have gotten what you wanted.

Although I still fail to see why you posted there in the first place - you were destined to be banned.

And I would have expected more from "twodocdoug."

Try something substantive, Rich. Like, say, writing a book. Or two. Or five.

Or try driving a tractor-trailer. It's a lot more fun.

Why don't you try posting under an assumed name?

Got to hand it to you, Rich. Anyone up at 4:08 AM trolling DL Truth deserves to be banned. :yup:

I could, but there's no fun in that. Also, I wanted to see how much shade they were actually going to throw my way as an active participant. Almost none, it turns out. The cowards prefer to target people who aren't "there" to defend themselves. I also wanted to demonstrate their utter inability to discuss actual DL issues. I'm not sure why Levicoff makes such a big deal of it, though. Nothing better to do, I guess. Anyway, it was brief and interesting.

I always thought it was quite amusing that the good people over at DL Truth loved yoda igorovich but hated Ted Heiks.

Actually, I never made a big deal of it; I merely asked why you bothered to post there in the first place. And you avoided answering the question – until now.

“Nothing better to do, I guess.” Gotta admit, Rich, that’s the first honest and direct answer I’ve seen from you in years. That kind of answer, I respect.

Look, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m past my prime in this field (non-traditional education) – after all, the last time I updated NIFI was 20 years ago. And I moved onto things that are a lot more fun.

So my laurels are old, but at least I had my laurels. You, Rich, have yet to bloom in this field. So I was serious when I suggested that you write a book. Or two. Or five. Your two doctorates are far more recent than my one doctorate. Isn’t it time for you to show us some substance?

After all, you admit that you’ve got “nothing better to do, I guess.”

And, while it may have been brief, it was not that interesting. :smokin:

Ah, yes. Career advice. From you. Got it. I'll cherish it always.

(The "nothing better to do" was about you, bud.)

Now, before we see one of those "it takes two to tango" messages you always seem to bring about, shall we move on?

Walt Hriniak is considered one of the best hitting coaches in all of baseball. Yet his major league career is made up of just 25 hits, all singles.

The greatest manager in Dodgers' history is another Walt, Walter Alston. Alston's entire major league playing career consisted of one plate appearance. He struck out.

Maybe there's something to it when someone who can't do it insists on telling you to do it. Thanks, Walt!
