It has begun to snow in earnest in my neighborhood and while I'm only expecting a modest amount I hope that everyone to my south, where the largest accumulations will occur, will stay safe and warm.

I must have nearly two feet on the ground here in Northern Virginia, and it's still snowing. But don't worry, I have enough prosecco to see me through.

Yeah, this might break some records before it is finished. This is my weather geek site I love. Been a member for almost 10 years.......storm2k.org...many meteorologists hang out there.

Not to brag but the weather in my neck of the woods was a balmy 86 degrees. This pic was taken today at around noon. Not too bad at all. Stay warm my friends.

What kind of truck is that? I have never seen one like that here.

Two feet of snow. Luckily, it's only my driveway. And my stairs. Oh, and my deck. And the sidewalk....gotta go.

Have no fear. The snow isn't bothering us in Vegas.

Hey Abner, hola amigo. It is a SsangYong Actyon Sports pick-up truck. SsangYong is a Korean brand. They sell heavily in Europe and Latin America. Here is the link for the truck: SsangYong. It's a nice truck, the engine is licensed by Mercedes Benz, it is a 2.0 Diesel engine. The truck competes in the small pick-up segment with the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger (sold here in Nicaragua), Mitsubishi L200, Nissan Frontier and so on.

It's a beautiful sunny day in my neighborhood. Our snow accumulation totals were at the low end of what was predicted, maybe 3-4 inches at most. I cleared the deck with a push broom and it's not worth doing the driveway, I'll just roll over it. I hope everyone who got hit hard is doing OK.
