Glasgow business school with a long list of firsts. Article about University of Strathclyde Graduate School of Business: "the first UK provider to offer a part-time MBA programme in 1976; the first UK school to offer a distance learning programme in 1983, and the first in the UK to provide the DBA (Doctor of Business Administration)." Another article from The Scotsman: Special Report: MBA courses.
First perhaps in Scotland! Strathclyde may have been the first Scottish university to offer the DBA but the first ever DBA offering in the UK as a whole (and I think in Europe) was, I think, the Henley Management College DBA programme that leads to the DBA award of Brunel University. So Henley was up and running before the Strathclyde DBA if my memory serves me properly! telfax
Yeah, but remember the words of Mike Myers* on Saturday Night Live: If it's not Scottish, it's CRAP! *A Canadian, but anyway...
