What a novel idea, a company that is actually sharing its profits with the workers:

Texas company gives every employee $100K bonus

Talk about a morale booster! This warms my heart. And guess what? The company didn't go bankrupt.

No, but then it's an oil company. This simply isn't something most companies could do.

It was a reward promised for making the evil oil company successful, they've done it twice.....hard working people, the sort I respect.

No one is saying most companies should give their employees $100K. I do think a company like Walmart for instance, could give their employees a more livable wage. Instead, they pay peanuts and encourage their ee's to apply for welfare. This cost us all money in the long run. I don't think Walmart would go broke if they paid a little more. Of course I am naïve like that.

Yes, a reward well deserved. AS far as evil oil companies, I think we should give those poor rascals more tax breaks and subsidies.

Not at all. I'm sure it's not ideology, but rather an extensive study of Walmart's financial statements that has led you to believe that....

Yeah, that's it, I studied Walmart's "books". I am merely expressing my opinion Steve, nothing more, nothing less. I do think Walmart can pay a little more so that "many" of it's employees don't have to collect welfare. If you want to call that ideology, then so be it. Each store costs taxpayers, on average of course, $900k to a million dollars in welfare paid out. Of course, Walmart is not the only retailer working ee's part time so they cannot receive benefits, I will admit that.
