    • Jörg Freiling, head of the University of Bremen’s master’s of business studies program, is also skeptical of the value of e-learning in business education. “I see distance-learning courses as partially disregarding one of the most important developments of the last 30 years,’’ he says, ‘‘and that’s the move away from frontal instruction, in which a professor lectures and students take notes and then tests, and toward group work, in which students join together to solve problems and carry out projects.” He adds: “That’s the heart of any MBA program — teaching students how to work with, around and for other people, and not memorizing the seven points of any good marketing campaign.”
