ISIS Terrorist, Targeted by U.S. Airstrike
    WSJ Video, 11/13/2015 6:50AM

"An American drone conducted an airstrike Thursday near Raqqa, Syria, aiming to kill Mohammed Emwazi, identified as the Islamic State militant suspected in the group's beheadings." :smokin:

I'm not generally in favor of killing people but I think the world would be a better place without him. I hope they got him.

Bush on bin Ladn: "I don't know where he is. I really don't spend that much time on him, to be honest with you."

    Thank goodness we fixed that.

Even better, President Obama has assured everyone that the JV team, ISIS, is contained.

I'm sure that Paris is glad to hear that tonight.

How many buildings did ISIS blow up here in the U.S.? Oh, yeah. Three fewer than bin Ladn did on Bush's. Got it.

There are just some people who need killing…

The ironclad, bipartisan, firm reasoning we have come to enjoy from our very own, Dick Bubble-trousers.

Personally, I like "big dumb poopy head." It fits, it practically rolls off your tongue, and it fits perfectly with the maturity level of the poster. You should let him use it.

It's sad how quickly this thread descended into domestic American political posturing. (The third post!) There's more to reality than whether one identifies as a Democrat or a Republican.

I'm very pleased to hear that Mohammed Emwazi might be dead. I'm not 100% convinced that he is dead though. They just struck a place where they thought he was, but we can't be totally sure they got him without his body.

    Next up? Paris.

Yesterday six coordinated attacks across that huge city resulted in about 150 dead and 200 wounded (100 or which are said to be critical). The French military are on the streets.

The domestic politics where this will echo most loudly are Europe's, given the current 'migrant' crisis in which hundreds of thousands of young Sunni males are flooding into Europe each month, without any vetting or background checks. Who knows how many of them are militant Islamists with military training? The concern a few months ago about radicalized European Muslims 'returning' from Syria has been totally overtaken by events.

Foreign arrivals in these huge numbers will contribute to the growth of festering ethnic divisions that will last for centuries with unpredictable effects. Even if the 'migrants' don't include terrorists in their numbers, the growth of large unassimilated Muslim enclaves in Europe will provide a turbulent and angry sea in which radical clerics and the terrorists they encourage can comfortably swim.

It will be very instructive to learn the identities and backgrounds of these Paris terrorists. Were they recent 'migrants'? Or were they home grown in France's own Muslim community? Where did they obtain their explosives and AK's? (France has strict gun-controls governing legal sales, so there must be an underground arms distribution network.)

The shorter term impact of events like this might be the fall of Angela Merkel's government in Germany. The longer term impact might be the collapse of the European Union itself.

I'm not at all a fan of any of the Clintons, but I agree, I won't second-guess him for that.
