Move to Kansas Kansas Underfunded Education And Cut Tenure. Now It Can't Find Enough Teachers To Fill Classrooms.
Seems to be more from lack of funding then "all the bashing from the governor" as there was a ton of spin on that article. They could have just simply said that they are having funding issues and pay is extremely low. Texas is more anti-union along with other states but with the higher pay they don't seem to have placement issues like Kansas is having. All that being said, it's sad that teachers would even be in the position to have to worry about pay. With all the bs they have to put up with from students and parents, I think anything under $70,000 is laughable, at least in my area. But of course I make nothing close to that at my cc, but I teach a vocational program.
