It had been a year since my last post. Hence, the link to a great Twilight Zone episode. I may add the occasional assertion here and there as we go forward.

In Germany, I'm made to understand, a person with two doctorates might indeed be listed as 'Dr. Dr. So-and-so.'

Interestingly (to me), it is illegal in Germany for non-physicians to use the title 'Dr.' unless the doctorate comes from either a German university, a university in the EU, or a U.S. university on the Carnegie lists of 'high' or 'very high' research activity. Union is listed as a research university, but not on those two lists. I guess Leicester makes me legal in Germany. Great. I always wanted to be big there.

Google says: Your client has issued a malformed or illegal request. That’s all we know.

Yes, it seems that a company in Riyahd want to talk with you about termites. They're gone now.

Well, Rich was referring to a spam post in the thread. It was an ad, written in Arabic, for an extermination company in Riyahd. I was responding to Rich's comment. It is all a bit difficult to follow because the original spammy post has been removed. All that's left is the shadow of the post, the portion that is quoted in Rich's post. See, nothing to it.

Hi, Rich! You are now the second person on this very board to have a quintuple digit post count. Congrats on becoming a double doc!

Rich, I just got re-accepted to an online master's in history from WNMU. Wish me luck with that. After I succeed at that, I think I am going to go for Union's PHD in Humanities & Culture ... wish me luck with becoming the fourth Union doc on the boards

The use of Dr. Dr. is also the case in Austria.

However Austrians are way less anal about the source of the degree, as long as it is legitimate you can have at it.
