In a recent response to Kristin Hirst, a rep from the CA BPPVE alluded to the existence of the BPPVE Enforcement Unit. Apparently the EU has the responsibility of enforcing BPPVE guidelines.

Given the fact that there is such a large number of CA approved schools, along with a limited BPPVE staff, it would seem in order to call for temporary volunteers. Each volunteer must meet the following criteria:

    1. Have an affinity for education, specifically DL.
    2. Have a disdain for degree mills--they damage the cause of DL.
    3. Be physically fit.
    4. Be ready for action.
    5. Be willing to serve the cause.
    6. Provide own finances.

    ANY VOLUNTEERS???

I have a World War I poster on my wall, showing a young man shaking hands with his old father, saying:
Goodbye, Dad. I'm off to fight for Old Glory. You buy U.S. Govt Bonds

OK. Goodbye, Dad. I'm off to fight for the BPPVE. You keep sending in your Thomas Edison State homework.

Well, I was really gonna volunteer - really...

But, then I started thinking that my current position was probably too important to leave -

And, then I remembered that I have two small children - don't want to leave them behind

And I re-read Russell's post and saw that physical fitness was a requirement. OK, I can sleep easy now, that might take awhile...:D

    Gentlemen, Gentlemen:

Where is the spirit of Patrick Henry, who said Give me Closed Degree Mills or give me death?

Where is the spirit of the writers of the constitution, who state that All Degrees are not created equal?

Where is the spirit of FDR, who in a speech regarding the opening of America's first degree mill, called it A day which will live in infamy?

Where is the spirit of Kennedy, who said Think not what distance learning can do for you, but what you can do for distance learning?

Perhaps the old American spirit isn't what it used to be!!! ;)

I've never had the desire to join the FBI (the "Blow Dry Boys" as we city cops refer to them), but I'd jump at the chance to take over Allan Ezell's old job. Not only could you bust degree mills in California, but the other 49 states and the assorted territories as well.

    • But I want to say one thing to the American people. I want you to listen to me. I'm going to say this again. I did not have academic relations with that diploma mill, Columbia State. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time – never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people.
