All the sites say they do it for free but they really don't. Does anyone know of a site that is actually free and actually gives you good info? On a similar note, has anyone ever used any of those "We'll find this person, we'll lookup this person, we'll give you all the info on this person" websites?
I've used Intelius before as a paid service as a "we'll give you all the info on this person" sort of thing. It is OK but all of the information is generally available through free resources. Many property records are available online. Many court judgments are available online. It all depends upon where the person is located. But, Intelius (and similar services) typically deliver what they promise. The question is whether what they deliver is what you really need. Whitepages.com is my go-to for reverse phone lookups. However, it is only really useful for a listed landline. Everything else will return no useful information. I use a VoIP phone. So no matter what service you use for a reverse lookup, it would only come up with the name of my service. So if the number you are looking for is VoIP, no service is going to really help.
I generally find good-old-Google the most helpful. Just put the number in the search box, with "1" and area code, and, surprisingly often, lots of good information is found. I just did it an hour ago, for a number that had called me five times, ostensibly a private number in Maine, and it was instantly clear that it was a telemarketing scheme.
