In a few minutes I'll be leaving home to go to Boston to watch the Celtics play the Heat . . . then out on time to get to the Superbowl party in my neighborhood. I'm not giving the boys in green much chance against Miami but I'm betting that the Patriots win in a tightly fought, relatively high scoring game against Seattle. 34-31 Pats.

Your score was a little off but the close win prediction was accurate.

I kicked the morning off with a local 5K and then enjoyed watching the Super Bowl this afternoon.

I think that was the wackiest game I've seen, since the Cal-Stanford game with "The Play" (5 laterals). Or, at least, the worst call in football history. A pass play, when you're on the half-yard line for the winning TD and you've got the best short-distance rusher in the league? What could the coach possibly have been thinking?

Very happy the Patriots won, for no other reason than Richard Sherman.

And in Europe, Arsenal trashed Aston Villa, 5-0. If only Millwall could shape up a bit, I'd be over the moon.
