I don't have one, but once I move back to Texas I will get one. Especially having kids, I need to protect them.
It's concealed. I don't have a permit, and I don't have a gun. But I'm pro-choice on gun ownership, I just choose not to do so. If I did ever get one I still probably wouldn't get a permit, since I'm usually in Virginia and it's an open carry state.
It's a two option poll: yes or no--you either have a concealed weapon permit or you don't. Yes, I have a concealed weapon permit. My weapon: Model 21 Glock, 45 Caliber. No BB pistol here.
All my guns were lost in a tragic boating accident* *Standard answer to anyone inquiring about guns on my person or household If I can ever recover my guns from whichever lake I lost them in, then yes I'm legally licensed to carry in my state.
My state (Illinois) just passed "shall issue" concealed carry back in July of 2013. While folks have taken the required training, I don't think that the state has issued permits yet. I'll probably take the class either before or right after graduation at the end of May. In other news, I'll be purchasing my first firearm in a few weeks.
Why would this be a problem? My CCW is already available, in fact a newspaper published a list of all CCW holders a year or so ago. I'm also quite active on numerous gun related boards, hardly a secret...if I'm being watched its already happened.
