For some unknown reason to me anyway; I have to now re-login via re-typing in my basic info (major56) along with my password (e.g., the system is not saving the login data as before). Any assistance /suggestions are appreciated.

It's working fine for me. It sounds like you may have an issue with the cookie used by the forum software, perhaps?

I've found this happens to me following Vista or IE software updates.

I've had to re-log in a couple of times a day for so long I've become used to it. It might be because I mostly use public (college lab) computers. I never really thought about it. I just do it when the DI message tells me to. No biggie.

My computer logs me out every ten minutes. I've gotten used to having to login every time I come back. I don't think it's a cookie situation because all other sites I log into remain active.

If, when you first come to the site, you see that your login has not been saved, this is what you can do. Go to a post and click on reply (it doesn't matter which post and you don't really need to reply) A sign-in box will appear. Along with username and password requirements there is a little checkbox that says "remember me." If you check it your login will be remembered until you clear your cookies, your computer goes through some sort of big upgrade or the Illuminatti have another "senior members bowling tournament" (they get a little crazy, those things). Let me know if it doesn't work.

Thanks Kizmet; however, I tried your suggestion initially. For some unknown reason, this just started this AM. I have even re-checked my settings (e.g., save login info) on Mozilla Firefox ... yet no luck (???).

I have sent in an alert regarding this issue. You can reasonably expect that very little will happen as we're in the middle of a big holiday weekend. However, it seems to be more than an isolated problem so it will require some attention/action. Let's try not to get sunburned this weekend.

I've seen this myself intermittently. I haven't seen it recently, and I recently changed from Safari to Firefox. I don't know if the two are related, but I don't offhand know of anything in particular that's causing the problem.

The one thing I might suggest is going into your browser's settings and deleting specifically the cookies for degreeinfo.com and then re-entering the site. I have seen where the cookie files will get corrupted for some reason and that seems to solve the problem.

Mods, please let me know if this continues to be a problem.

    Chip,

Followed the process you suggested (e.g., deleted all degreeInfo.com cookies); yet my log-in info (user /password) is still not being saved (?).
