Hello, I know there has been much disagreement over the place of portfolios on the graduate level. What schools other then Jones International use this method?. My daughter has two graduate level portfolios that have been rejected and I'm wondering if they can be evaluated by another school and submitted as transfer credit. She is currently enrolled at Jones International . The work is good or I wouldn't be posting this. They seem to accept DETC credit so thats an option worth investigating. Thanks for the continued good suggestions. Hille She did have one success for 3 graduate credits so I know she is approaching it correctly.**********

Did the school say why the portfolios were rejected? If it was for procedural or documentation reasons, it's probably easiest to fix the problem(s) and resubmit them. If it's because the limit of portfolio or transfer credit has been reached, it doesn't make much sense to have another school evaluate them, because it's still going to be portfolio or transfer credit, no matter how you slice it. IOW, even if another school evaluates them and awards credit, it's still going to read portfolio, experiential, etc. on the transcript.

IMO, I think your daughter was fortunate to get 3 graduate-level credits by portfolio, the great majority of RA schools won't accept them.
