Trump being Trump. He contorts the bible to justify how he lives, but leaves this part out: "The comment was met with silence from more than 1,000 students, who are encouraged to live "a lifestyle of Biblical morality" and commonly carry the Bible among their books on Liberty's campus. In Christ's Sermon on the Mount recorded in chapters 5-7 of the Gospel of Matthew, he tells his followers to reject eye-for-an-eye justice and, if slapped, turn the other cheek rather than retaliate." I get the impression that Trump may have loads of money, but deep inside has a need to call attention to himself so as to remain in the public eye via publicity. I am surprised he didn't bring up the lame birther conspiracy theory. :smile: Abner
That wasn't even the funniest part of Trump's speech. He also made a point of advising all Liberty students (including the online students, who watched via streaming video) that they should always have pre-nuptial agreements to prevent a "total catastrophe" in the event of divorce. Trump (who is currently married to his third wife) has some experience with this issue. The Washington Post, who covered the event, called it an "awkward moment".
If he wasn't crazy rich I would almost feel sorry for the guy. I honestly question at times if he truly understands what he says. He probably just lives in the moment.
I watched his speech a couple of days ago after receiving several e-mails about it. I thought it was interesting. I guess Jr. stepping outside of the box and getting as many big-name people as he can to speak at Liberty. I’ve watched quite a few convocation videos, and they have had some good speakers at Liberty.
