Let me start this by saying I do not swing to either side, I am not a Republican nor am I a Democrat. Politically speaking I think both sides are full of S#%t, and I never trust what a politician has to say regardless of their political affiliation.

I was watching the speech my Clint Eastwood and I'm sure most red blooded Americans are huge fans of his, I know I am, but after watching his speech it left me going . . .

    :wtf1:

    Was I the only one?

I thought it was a brilliant performance, but it wasn't helpful politically.

Things like Afghanistan (yeah....Obama didn't get into that one)....and it was not the right choice for the time slot.

Left me scratching my head....with that said I think most folks just chalk it up to the guy being 84 years old. I wonder if they saw him practice that speach before he gave it?

  4. Wise man, I share your feelings. As for Clint Eastwood...o_O. To me his speech didn't make sense but I think it got the job done. Honestly, I doubt it really matters who is up front at the RNC/DNC. People are going to think whomever and whatever they say is "great".

    :iagree: 100%

It was kind of painful to watch to be honest. He kept pausing, using filler words like "hmm" over and over. I kept thinking of my junior college public speaking professor jumping all over us for using filler words, lol.

I know he is 84 years old, but he is also an accomplished actor and extremely talented. I just thought his execution could have been better.
