Those guys that worked on rockets in WWII, and came to the states to work on NASA, few and far in between. Einstein, few and far in between. Those guys can probably do algebraic equations in their heads. I bet fewer than 80 percent of what you learned in college you ever apply in the field. We want an educated work force but is the system teaching it right or is it all about the money? Just a fact that learning from the books is not enough. You need practical experience. Look at SPAIN. 24 percent unemployment. What? 24 percent? They really got it wrong in Spain. What's going on in Spain?
The world needs common man too. Every society needs a cobbler, a plumber, an electrician, a cashier, a janitor, a farmer, a mason and a carpenter. We seem to think white collar jobs and education as a way out of the steel mills, but we need those guys working the steel mills. We all can't be rocket engine guys.
