I will be out looking - The transit is at sunset for my location - I hope it is not cloudy (I use a number 14welders glass to view).
You could download a photo from NASA and get it printed at Costco or Snapfish.

And if its cloudy or you oversleep, mark your calendar for the next one: December 2117.

And what time will this Transit of Venus be?

You mean the one this year or the one in 2117?

My understanding is that the best viewing time within the USA will be around sunset. Too much cloud cover in my neighborhood.

Well, I couldn't see the sunset for the trees, so I guess this means I shall have to figure out how to live to the age of 155 to see the Transit of Venus.

It was too cloudy and rainy here to see it.

The view is fine from Hawaii. You can still see it live here: Transit of Venus live video

What a great article! Too bad I was a day late but I'm sure there will be tons of footage online. Couldn't agree more with the following quoted from the article..."2012 should be even better as cameras and solar telescopes have improved. Moreover, NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory is going to be watching too. SDO will produce Hubble-quality images of this rare event."

I did not see the transit - the sun was covered by alternating thick and thin clouds.
