    In his new blockbuster, "11/22/63" (which I am quite enjoying), there is a moment in which our hero buys a mail order degree for $300 from "United College of Oklahoma" and uses it to get a teaching job in Florida. We are even given one of the questions on his exam: "Moby's last name was (a) Tom (b) Dick (c) Harry ..."

    Maybe he should have consulted with our resident expert on fake schools and the degrees they offer. :smile:

    JB: I actually did have a (very) brief exchange with him long ago, when I mentioned, in my book "The #1 New York Times Best Seller" that if he and Danielle Steel, almost exactly the same age, lived as long as James Michener and continued apace, she would have 93 #1 bestsellers and he would 'only' have 92. He pointed out that if we include books written under a pseudonym ("The Bachman books") he would be in first place.

    Six degrees of separation break....my brother was a deputy sheriff with the Oxford County Sheriff's Office when Stephen King was hit and nearly killed in his horrific accident in Oxford County, although my brother wasn't directly involved in the investigation.

    The driver who hit him later died at the age of 43;
