Oh Jesus. Check out Visible Children - KONY 2012 Criticism
I'm not saying this guy doesn't need to be stopped, but we have bigger problems at home to deal with and these wannabe messiah hipsters are primarily only after your money. The militiary groups Invisible Children are funding are accused oft heexact same things that Kony himself is accused of. Better place to donate your time/energy/cash.

Like what, a one-sided war and the relative weakening of the strongest economy the world has ever seen? I kind of think that selling children into sex slavery and forcing them into armed combat is the worst thing that a human being could possibly ever do.

Fair enough, but the side the IC is funding do the same thing. Kony hasn't been active in Uganda since 2006. We have abused and starving kids here in America would could focus on. Oh, and the CEO of IC has a $200k annual salary, seems some of that could be going to stopping this guy if they cared that much.

True. Their video was about 5 (or 15) years too late, sadly.

Agreed. Better to chase down these demented demons wherever they may be. Not unlike ex nazi prison guards, etc. etc. Relocation should not be a factor. A man must pay for his sins.

AU to launch 5,000-strong force for Kony hunt on Saturday

Good for the "hipsters", as some like to call them. I say good for activisim.

    From the article:

AU to launch 5,000-strong force for Kony hunt on Saturday - Yahoo! News

"Madeira said the force would be deployed in jungle areas where Kony and his fighters are known to be at work.

Asked how long the force would be operating, Madeira said: "When we capture Kony or he hands himself in or we neutralise him in some way, that will be the end. That's the timeframe".

    Further:

"Kony, accused of terrorising northern Uganda for two decades, is wanted by the International Criminal court for war crimes. He is accused of abducting children to use as fighters and sex slaves and is said to like hacking off limbs".

Hopefully his head will be delivered on a platter soon.
