What are your views on this subject? I know this disorder is linked with Trazadone, but can you elaborate? What do you think of this theory?

    Thanks,

OK, so I just got off the phone and my friend told me two things. Trazadone is most often prescribed because it's major side effect is that it makes you drowsy. People who are depressed/anxious often have trouble sleeping so the Trazadone helps in two ways. She also pointed out that we see a lot of TV commercials for a new drug called Cymbalta which is also an antidepressant but is prescribed for pain as well. Then there's this:

That is much appreciated sister Kizmet. You are very kind. I have been prescribed Trazadone previously for insomnia.

Having developed an interest in different psychciatric theories, I cannot really find a lot of research on the "Mental Pain Hypothesis" itself. My other areas of interest also include theories like the "Reptilian Brain" theory. Perhaps I shall pursue a degree in such an area.

Blackbird, if you are around, can you add some comments?

    Thanks!
