After years and years of applying for a certain position, and finally made the cut. Why? I believe it has do with the fact that I now have an MBA. I am on the list and was made on offer, however, it was much too far from my house. I checked the box that said "I am not interested in this position, but I am interested in working in these areas ......". I really don't care how long I am on the list since I already have a good job.

What a great feeling! This position is VERY competitive, and would give me the tools to become a labor commisioner for example.

Just a few comments I wanted to share.

If it hadn't been for this fourm, I would have never known of the affordable options in higher education. Thanks once again.

Awesomeness. I applied for a promotion and interviewed a week ago. I don't want to jinx it by talking about it too much but I don't think my MBA will hurt me. Though honestly they mandated the PMP certification of which I recently earned...we'll see.

    Thanks everyone!

I thank you all for your kind comments. I have paid for my education from beginning to end myself, out of pocket, pay as you go style. I have never received financial aid of any type, and I have never been privy to employer paid tuition of any kind. As such, my educational journey was a long, slow process.

Once again, I am grateful for this forum, and all that I have learned from the sages herein. I would like to think I have helped a few people along the way myself.

    Respectfully,

    Sensei/Sifu Abner
