Well I think the top 1% of posters should post under the handles of some of the rest of the 99% and spread the prestige. They are obviously hogging more than their fair share of the stats :)

I'm a bit shy of 5K (<100). I suppose that'll happen some time in 2012. If we correlate this with the Mayan calendar then maybe we have and answer to the . . . never mind.

I'm the guy between 8,000 and 9,000. I never got a title. Just wondering what one might be. (Former Obsessive, perhaps?)

It's safe to say I'm quite vulnerable to being passed (in a year or two, I'd guess), and that I'll never catch the #1, Ted.

And that's cool. I like the "Join Date" even better. Old school, baby! :)

I know....there's fewer and fewer of us OG's left around here.

:) I believe, though I'm not 100% sure, that Kizmet and I are the only females in the top 31

How do we access "the list" of members? I can't find it?

I am a member of a couple of other boards. One has a poster who hit over 100,000 posts and it was celebrated in a funny way, they made him unofficial mayor of the board. The other board has a poster with over 1,000,000 posts. As far as I know he has a job.

I hope that quality counts more than quantity. Although in either case I fail miserably ;)

Well, as I look back at the decade since I started posting on Degreeinfo and reflect on the benefits that have come from my many interactions with colleagues here, I am grateful that I was led to this forum by Dr. Bear in 2001. My quantity of postings establishes me, I supposed as a regular poster, but, compared to my colleagues, I am not a very prolific one. However, I have found some hope with 03310151's rationale about quantity versus quality :)

I'm not so sure about that, Rich. I used to average about 10 posts per day during my first year here. I had 3500 posts as of February 2006. However, last I checked, my average posts per day was about four. So, I've been slacking off somewhat.

I thought there would be a lot more people with more post than I.

I just looked at my Join Date. I can not believe it has been over 10 years of posting dribble!

I think that the top two females deserve special accolades for putting up with the testosterone fog that sometimes abounds. :-D

Heh, compared with a lot of forums, this is a sewing circle.
